It was great, I saw it live, as well on ESPN Classic. The Bulls were a little like the Lakers now, as MJ was really the only option that they had. I think that was the year MJ missed almost the whole year with a broken foot, and they wanted him to stay out so that they could get a good draft pick, but he came back with maybe 15 games to go and got them into the playoffs.What is your opinion of this 1986 Jordan vs Boston playoff game highlight tape?
MJ's individual perfomance was amazing, but what people fail to realize is that the Bulls lost the game. Infact they were swept by the Celtics who went on and won the title.
Bird was even asked by a reporter after the 63 point game by MJ that what if he scores 77 in game 3 at Chicago...what would he do...he said he would retire if that happened...MJ scored only 19 and the Bulls stayed home.
