Well you should def worry more about the academic programs cuz in D-3 I'd be an all american in track but D-1 right not I am just average..... College is to get you ready for your life and playin small D-1 will not get you anywhere past college.... So pick the one with best programs educationally I did that and have not regretted it at all.... So don't worry bout the athletics cuz in College education starts to matter more than playing sports cuz in your case you definitely won't be able to use sports to make money your whole life.... You'll see your first year in college.... I was the same as you before I came to college...

hey there, I need good music for a highlight reel im making for football. I have made 3 already, and I ran out of song ideas. Basically the songs cant have any curse words, and cant be too far on the rap side or too far on rock side, kind of a neutral song that everyone can enjoy.

I love editing videos i do it all the time. first you need a software for video editng. (im sorry i dont know of any websites to download it) If you have windows xp just go to the start menu, and all programs, and look for windows movie maker. that lets you put titles, transitions, and music on your video. The only bad part about Window Movie Maker is if your video is too long and you try putting too many transitions in it your video won't show. srry :)





first you capture your video. if your video is saved onto your computer click on import video. if your video is on your camera you can either save it to your computer and click import video, or click capture from video device. once youve done that you can drag you clip to the timeline.





next click import audio or music. look for the folder where you keep all of your music and click your song. next all you do is drag the song you want to the timeline you can change the length of the song and make it fade in or out. have fun with it!





Some tips i have is to to have a lot of time on your hands and be patient. the outcome will be awesome and rewarding :)


also you cant do any effects on your video like explosions and making people invisible and stuff. if you wanna go that far you have to buy a special software which is about $80-$100. i dont have it yet but i can help you with any questions you have i hope i answered your question

Well if you mean like edit sports clips and add music you can use Window Movie Maker (comes with any windows). Its pretty straight forward though not very ';high-tech';.You can speed up and slow down clips but it does it x2 though, you cant set the speed. If you want to make something really awesome and precise your going to have to do a little research and shopping....

I don't think you can do that with anything but the Shuffle, and even then I think the music has to be in your library (and the Shuffle associated with the library).

When you watch the tv, you are viewing the picture chosen by the director in the van who is watching as many as 24 screens. (which you already know when you watch a replay and they show many different angles of the play that you did not see in real time) Because today is digital and thus storage is not an issue all 24 screens are saved.


Producers who wish to make the kind of shows you talk about, buy the rights to use they already preserved footage. They then edit and cut to their own use.

Hes good defenetily won't play DE unless he bulks up even at 220 now he looks very slim. He probalby will play Olb and still have to bluk up seeing as his legs are thin. But he is very athletic, though that might hold him back later in his college career. He will need to develop some pass rush moves and not relay on the athletic ability all the time. There was no tape for him playing the run. But on the fake draw plays he did a good job of holding at the point and the de-engaging his man, to go after the qb. He has very good closing speed on the qb and probaby short range. Also at times he looks to have a good step off the snap and other times he looks like he isn't trying much.





Still there is not much tape of him agaisnt the run and he also need to learn to control his speed some plays he wiffs on the qb or runs right past him. He need to lower his shoulder and break down get his helmet in the qbs chest.Your opinions on Jamel Turner's highlight tape (Link)?

It was great, I saw it live, as well on ESPN Classic. The Bulls were a little like the Lakers now, as MJ was really the only option that they had. Rip the DVD to your computer, then use Windows Movie Maker (or similar program) to edit your movie.

You don't want any songs. Just keep it a highlight. Alot of coaches are getting kinda of sick of that. If you want you should make one with songs and one without and keep the song one for yourself but don't send video with songs to a recruiter. I am in college and I had a friend that just recently got a scholarship out of playing JUCO. He had music on his tape and the the recruiter looked dead at him and said,'; why did you put music to this? Take it off, I want to watch you not listen to music.';

While I cannot think of song names off hand I would try and work with only the instramental portion of songs no vocals. Might be a little harder to find some, but make sure the songs have a good beat,Thunderstruck is a good one though.

Your coach usually does that for you, all you have to do is ask.... What kind of highlight tape should i send a college basketball coach?
Get shots from different angles, no one would want to watch a highlight video that puts them to sleep. Don't show yourself taking 10 free throws then 10 three pointers, mix it up with variety. Since I've never created a highlights video I can't be of much assistance, but you could always use google.
Get some high flying dunks in there and do some And 1 dribbling that should impress him.

i know you think you asked a simple question, but the answer if far from simple. a highlight tape is made by a process called ';editing-in-sequence';. unfortunately, DVD is the absolute most difficult source video format to use for editing. the reason is because it is nearly impossible to cue up scenes for playback easily. The only practical solution is to re-record the DVD material onto another format that is edit friendly.





if you have a lot of tape gear, then transfer the DVD material to a tape that you will use for the playback source. most any recorder can be paused while recording, so that is the trick. use 2 decks one for playback the other for record. record the first highlight, then pause the recorder. You now have about 5 minutes to get the player cued to the next highlight. start it to play and un-pause the recorder. obviously to do this you will need to have prepared a list ahead of time so you can find the playback scenes quickly.





The other option is to use a media capable computer. Your computer will need software that can download (rip) video from the DVDs, edit software, and finally burning software to create the finished highlight DVD. Editing in computer is not an easy chore either and requires really highclass computer gear.How do i make a highlight tape?
Well, it depends on what type of equipment you have or have access too or how much money you have if you want something better.





1- You say DVD so you probably will need a program software to take/rip it from the DVD. I think handbrake makes one but I'm not sure if its for MAC only.





2- Or you can try just putting in the dvd and then using explore to see if you can actually take the clips off but normally they are encoded. The only other option is to play it through the TV and record on to a mini dv camcorder. Then, if you have the clips on minidv, you will plug your camera into the computer and you will need a fire-wire card so it can recognize your camera (most likely IEEE-1394 but you'll have to check with your camera and computer). If you have a PC you can use the IMovie software or you buy cheap editing software from Staples. If you want better Adobe Premiere. If you have MAC, you can do IVideo or Final Cut Pro.





3- Last option, is take it to a local videographer/editor in your area and pay them to do it. Hope that helps.

You could use either Audacity which is free or Adobe Audition 3 $349 to do this.

Method 1


Rip the files on your hard drive with Windows Media Player or Real Player Free.





Then open the files and use Audacity (free) to trim the parts you want and save them. Then use Audacity to combine these to make your highlight tape. With Audacity you can also mix sounds. Mixing is great when you want to put your voice on top of some music.





Method 2


Use Audacity to record the music when you play it on your PC. Trim the files to keep the parts you want and save.





Then open the files and use Audacity (free) to cut out the parts you want and save them. Then use Audacity to combine these to make your highlight tape. With Audacity you can also mix sounds.
